We are Jordyn and Trevor Hooper, owners of Moose River Cabins located in Rockwood, ME. We both fell in love with Moosehead Lake long ago. Trevor has been coming to Moosehead for as long as he can remember, his family owning a camp in Rockwood. Since I've known him, we've explored and fished the surrounding area every chance we get. These two cabins are our way of helping people enjoy the area as much as we do!

If you're looking to enjoy the Maine outdoors, Moosehead Lake Region is a traveler's paradise. Be prepared to feel a little off-the-grid. Service is patchy in the area and the nearest grocery store is about a half-hour drive from the cabins. While there is only one convenient store in Rockwood, along with a handful of restaurants, there is a different atmosphere to be enjoyed. You will find a peace with fresh air and campfires that you may never have experienced before. If you're looking to experience the real Maine outdoors then you've come to the right place.

Allies and Firefly are our two cabins located on Moose River, which is connected to Moosehead Lake. These rustic cabins will supply you with just about everything you need for a relaxing stay here in Rockwood. If you have a boat, you can drive it to anywhere on the Lake straight from the cabins. There's a small boat launch right nearby. This launch is used by other nearby camps, so we kindly ask that you do not park or block the launch. You can also tie your boat up right in front of the cabin you stay in. For bigger boats, the Rockwood boat launch is not far. There are also boat rentals in the area.
